Class Policies and Terms

Registration & Payment

Registration fees are payable in full or based on the payment plan advertised with each class. Please refer to your course schedule for payment plan due dates. A late fee of $10 will be assessed for payments submitted after the due date listed. Your registration is not complete until Curiosity Zone of Clermont has received all paperwork & required payment. Registration is subject to availability.

Sibling Discounts

For each additional sibling registered for the same or similar class in the same session, the following discounts will be applied:
Second Child: 10%.
Third+ Child: 15%.

Pick-up

A responsible adult must sign your child out of class each day. Children must be signed out within 10 minutes of the end class. Parents will be assessed a late pick-up fee of $15 per child for every 15 minute interval thereafter until the child is picked up.

Classroom Etiquette and Behavior Expectations

To ensure the enjoyment of class by everyone, we ask that students follow behavior expectations:

  • Be respectful.
  • Be responsible.
  • Be ready to learn.

Parents will be notified if a student fails to meet behavior expectations, especially in regard to lab safety.

Refunds

  • Class tuition is fully refundable through the end of the first class day. If you are not satisfied with the first class, please contact Lori Waters after class on that day to seek resolution or potential refunds. No refunds will be permitted after that first day.
  • There are no refunds for classes missed or cancelled due to conditions beyond our control, including inclement weather. We will make every reasonable effort to schedule a makeup class.

Make-up Classes

Due to space availability and limited class times, we are unable to schedule individual make-up classes. Every effort will be made to provide your child with the missed content.

Holidays

Please refer to the course dates provided for your course at the beginning of each session No regularly scheduled classes will occur when Lake County Public Schools are closed from holiday breaks: Labor Day, Veterans Day, Nov. 21-25, Dec. 21-Jan. 4, Spring Break, and Memorial Day.

Weather Policy

In case of inclement weather, the Curiosity Zone of Clermont may cancel classes if, in its sole discretion, it believes road conditions present a hazard to its customers and employees. All cancellations will be announced on our website. We will follow the Lake County Public School closures. We will make every effort to schedule makeup classes for classes cancelled due to bad weather.

Sick Kids

We reserve the right to send home any child with a fever or who otherwise appears to be infectious.

Infants

Infants under 6 months of age may come to class with an attending parent, provided the infant is confined and does not present a safety risk or disrupt the class.  No strollers please, as space in the lab is limited.  All other children in the classroom must be enrolled.

Medical Needs

Insurance prevents the Curiosity Zone of Clermont from storing or administering medicines to children.

It is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that the Curiosity Zone of Clermont has the most up-to-date contact and emergency information.

Business Information

Curiosity Zone of Clermont, LLC has a license agreement with Curiosity Zone to use the proprietary curriculum. Curiosity Zone of Clermont is a registered business with the state of Florida, Lake County, and City of Clermont. It is an insured business that is classified as providing tutoring education services and does not provide extended aftercare or daycare.
